Even though the inputs are hard to get to once connected the door completely hides the connections from the rear, for whatever that's worth. If I had my way I'd definitely mount this to a VESA arm system rather than use the stand. I don't have any problem finding the right button at all.

Overall Review: The buttons are on the back located directly behind each corresponding label on the front of the bezel. The inputs are tucked up behind a little door and are hard to get to without laying the monitor down on the screen. It literally bounces back and forth as if it were on a spring. The bezel really is as thin as advertised unlike so many other monitors that brag about thin bezels only to find out they have an extra 1/4 inch of dead screen around the edge.Ĭons: Flimsiest stand I've ever seen. Pros: Very bright, Power light shines down at the desk instead of directly at you.Quick response time -no motion blur at all. At that price there is nothing for me that would warrant dragging it's score below a 5 egg. It was on sale for around $200 at the time of purchase. So if you care about monitor speakers, they could be a deterrent, I myself do not care. Speaking of audio, do not expect great things from the speakers, which I will not use anyway, but they honestly do not sound very good. But at least Asus included a DVI to HDMI cable which also passes audio. I like the fact that the monitor has 3 inputs, however I wish it traded the VGA for DVI. However the monitor does have a VESA mount and is priced appropriately as monitors with better featured stands typically cost a bit more The stand does leave something to be desired, it is a little wobbly and is limited to tilt only. Movies look excellent and thanks to such awesome black levels, it really is a much better experience than the sometimes greyish blacks you will often see on a TN or even IPS panel. Just avoid the GAME setting in the OSD as it looks horrible.

I have noticed no ghosting or significant input lag.

I imagine on a smaller panel that feature may be helpful but as it stands, 1080p on a 27" panel has a pretty low ppi. At first text looked pretty bad, but turning Vivid Pixel to 0 softened the text so it no longer looked like a pixelated mess. I found that the STANDARD OSD setting with some slight adjustments made for a very pleasant picture. First thing I noticed immediately is that the VA panel on the ASUS had excellent black levels, great viewing angles and almost no color shifting.
